I have had the incredible honor of working at Bikes Not Bombs since April 2020, and I am inspired every day by the incredible work that is being done across the organization, led by our Youth Apprentice team. Year-to-date, we have created 27 jobs for teens and young adults in Boston!
I am asking you to make a donation to BNB because the need to raise funds is more important than ever; here at BNB, we reclaim bikes that would otherwise be discarded, and use them to empower people to transform not only their lives and future, but the lives and futures of their communities as well. These bicycles are used to create jobsand programs that cannot exist without the support of our generous donors.
Our Impact:
Since 1984: Over 80,000 bikes have been reclaimed and shipped to over 10 partners in 14 different countries around the world.
Since 1990: We have engaged and trained over 4,000 Boston-area youth providing for many of them their first job experience.
Since 1994: We have run a successful bike shop social enterprise, refurbishing and selling thousands of reclaimed bicycles. The profit from the bike shop funds our local and international development work.
