Hi Friends,

I have been actively supporting BikesNotBombs for several years, primarily by riding in the annual fundraising Bike-A-Thon.  Although it is a small, Jamaica Plain based organization, they help marginalized people throughout Boston and internationally.  Details describing how they do this are presented on their website, which is worth exploring. While the mission statement has changed slightly across the years, it resonates with me as much now as when I first encountered it: “Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South.”  Your financial contribution to my pedalling (I am training to do the 50 mile route again) on behalf of this worthy endeavor will be much appreciated by me and the many people whose lives will be enhanced.
