Bikes Not Bomb’s 34rd Bike-A-Thon is scheduled to roll on September 12. Bikes Not Bombs has continued operations despite COVID 19 challenges, collecting and distributing bikes, as well as programs for adults and youth. Bikes Not Bombs collects bicycles, parts, tools and clothing for shipment to Partners in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean supporting programs in sustainability, transportation, healthcare and education.
CESTA, the El Salvadoran Center for Appropriate Technology, a longtime partner of BnB, is celebrating its 40 anniversary. CESTA is a leading advocate for environmental conservation, sustainable transportation and community-focused resource management in El Salvador. BnB ships bicycles to CESTA in San Salvador that are used in their EcoBici program that trains youth in bicycle mechanics, developing their skills refurbishing bikes to provide access to affordable transportation. CESTA is a major contributor to MOVIAC, the Movement of Victims Impacted and Affected by Climate Change. BnBs is proud to support CESTA’s mission.
Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change in programs that make a difference for youth, adults and families in their communities. Our Bike-A-Thon is our largest fundraiser of the year.
