11th Annual Ride to Thrive: Bike for the Kids!

Join us Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Panton Mill Park, in South Elgin!

We return to Panton Mill Park in South Elgin for our community celebration with refreshments, live entertainment, and games. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. SAG support will be provided by Crank Revolution and Project Mobility on site at the event.

9:30 AM - 7 Mile Guided Ride
10:00 AM - Festival Opens
12:00 PM - Program & Jonathan Goers Adapted Bike Presentation
1:00 PM - Event Ends

Lucky 7s: Guided Ride
Join our family friendly ride to Festival Park and back at a designated time. Great for all ages and abilities!

Fox River 15 Miles
Take in beautiful views along the Fox River on this moderate distance route.

Go to Towne: 30 Miles
Enjoy a scenic ride with rest stops along the way, including Towne Park.

Jonathan Goers Bike Program

Adapted Bike Giveaway

During our Ride to Thrive celebration at Bike for the Kids, we provide custom-adapted bikes to children with disabilities. Launched with the Jonathan Goers Bike Club and now grown with the help of donors like the Yes We Can Cycling team, Meredith Williams Foundation, and B4DWN cycling team, the program helps foster independence, mobility, and the joy of cycling.

With support from our Physical Therapy team and partner Hal Honeyman, they help assess client needs and make sure the bikes are fitted with the right equipment.
