"Kno’lan was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis at 5 months old. He is fighting for the 3rd time, almost a year into it. He’s also gotten diagnosed with epilepsy and had a gtube for over a year. He had the cancer in his mouth which resulted in losing teeth, even an adult tooth. He’s had it in his skin, blood, right ear canal, skull, GI, mouth tissue, neck and under arm lymph nodes. He currently has it in his blood, neck and underarm lymph nodes, and his right ear canal. We go to Texas once a year to see his main oncologist team. 

AAU has impacted our family so much. They are who have kept a roof over our head, which helps a ton. Work and money can be sparse once cancer enters your life, they have literally saved us. For me personally, it’s hard for me to find friends or people to relate to. Their night outs and gatherings have helped my mental health a ton. They’ve been able to open me up, to where I’m friends with a few gals from the gatherings, I feel more comfortable and welcomed than I ever have in a place. I did a podcast with them, that helps me a lot by spreading awareness for Kno’lans cancer and childhood cancer in general. For my 2 kids, they helps us spread awareness for childhood cancer, they invited us out of town for a weekend to have fun. That helped us a lot, they let my kids be kids.
