The summer of 2022, at 13 years old, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Throughout my diagnosis, my family and I encountered a multitude of unexpected obstacles. I was admitted into Children’s several times, which is an hour from our house, which not only affected me health wise, but everyone in my family. My parents had to miss work a lot to take me to appointments, treatments, and for unexpected illnesses. Both of my younger siblings were still going to school, but did not have the normal childhood experiences. Angels Among Us supported us by providing financial support, fun family events, and gave us the opportunity to meet other families that were going through similar situations. Angels Among Us gave our family support and hope when we needed it most!
