Jace is a jokester, builder, and so thoughtful! Jace was diagnosed with T-Lymphoblastic leukemia December 8, 2024, just 2 weeks after his 5th birthday. He had a mass in his thymus which caused him to have troubles breathing. Jace was in the hospital for 12 days when he was diagnosed. At the time, Jace’s sister Vada was a newly 2 year old and didn’t know what was going on.

We have been lucky that Jace hasn’t displayed any really bad side effects from the chemo as of now. We do believe he had a mild seizure at preschool once, and he did have one reaction to a platelet transfusion.

AAU helped us focus more on our son during the hardest part of treatment rather than worry about finances. We have also attended two AAU events this last year which were the Angel Flix and the Christmas party. I enjoy getting the AAU newsletter to see what other things are available to us!
