Hi, I’m Sara Montgomery, and I’ve been a proud volunteer at Blossom’s Animal Sanctuary for the past three years. Working with this incredible organization has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. During my time here, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with so many amazing animals, but one in particular has stolen my heart—Mango, an affectionate and curious orangutan who never fails to brighten my day.

Mango’s story is one of both resilience and hope. She came to Blossom’s after being rescued from heartbreaking circumstances and has since made remarkable progress in her rehabilitation. Spending time with her, watching her playful antics, and even sharing quiet moments where she shows her gentle nature has created a bond I’ll cherish forever. She’s truly an inspiration, and I’m committed to doing everything I can to give her the care she needs and deserves.

That’s why, for my birthday this year, I’m fundraising on behalf of Mango. My goal is to raise enough money to cover her food and veterinary care for an entire year. Every single dollar will go towards ensuring Mango continues to thrive in her safe, loving environment here at Blossom’s.

This cause means so much to me because I’ve seen firsthand the amazing work being done at the sanctuary—and I know how much Mango depends on it. It’s my way of giving back to an organization and a cause that has given me so much joy.
