For the past ten years, I have been involved with “bigBOWL”, a bowling fund-raising event to benefit Junior Achievement (JA) of the Upper Midwest, Inc. I am again asking you to help with our fundraising effort, as our team is seeking to be the leading fundraiser for BMO’s Minnesota region yet again – last year our team, Spare Tires, raised over $4,000!
JA’s mission is to inspire students to value free enterprise and to understand how business and economics improve the quality of their lives. Your contributions will directly impact more than 162,000 students in the Upper Midwest. We have volunteered with this organization in the past and feel that it is a very beneficial organization to support! In the past, I have had the chance to volunteer for a day at Junior Achievement's Biztown, and it was a great experience to help 5th graders run their own business for a day - they did not all avoid bouncing their checkbook, but I think they understood the meaning of balancing it after they were done!
