I love this organization and we need your support now more than ever. The challenges created by COVID-19 are many, not only for us at the Beacon but also for the women we serve. The mental health services we provide are increasingly important, along with supporting our women in securing stable job employment.
Even with all of the challenges, we continue to serve our mission and provide these vital services to the women in our community. We continue to see these women experience inspirational and amazing life transformations.
I have lived in Central Iowa for most of my life. I have volunteered for organizations across the community in varying ways over the years, but had never really had a commitment to one cause. But I wanted to get involved at a deeper level in something I cared about. As I started to learn more about Beacon of Life and met our board members, clients, and employees, I knew this was a way to make a meaningful difference in women’s lives in our community. I was fortunate enough to join the Board of Directors in early 2019 and I am so thankful to be a part of this mission. Everyone deserves a second chance!
