Leah Trichon

Hi, my name is Leah Trichon, and I am a senior at Boston College from New Hope, Pennsylvania. I am thrilled to be running the 2025 Boston Marathon on behalf of the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation!

Having spent the past three years at BC, I’ve experienced the incredible spirit of this community and the resilience that defines both our school and Boston. After celebrating three Marathon Mondays cheering runners on, I’m excited to run my first marathon on my last Marathon Monday. Running this marathon for a such an inspirational foundation founded by a BC legend is a meaningful way for me to contribute to the spirit of this community and support families affected by autism.

The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism was founded in 1998 by former NFL and Boston College Quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie. After their son Doug, Jr. was diagnosed with autism; they wanted to ensure that other families affected by autism had opportunities for support. Now in its 23rd year, the foundation offers programs under two main initiatives: Direct Financial Support for families facing the costs of autism care and Community Partnerships and Grants. The Flutie Foundation also provides education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, and direct family support through its special programs. The Flutie Foundation’s newest initiative, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises, will help create businesses to employ adults with autism.
