Right on Hereford Left on Boylston.....a few turns and plenty of hills will bring me to the Boston Marathon finish line, capturing the challenge and the triumph of an amazing 26.2 mile journey chasing Spike, the mythical unicorn. I'm thrilled to be running the 129th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 21, 2025, for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. This will be my 3rd time running with Dougie's Team, my 10th Marathon overall and my final race to become a Six Star Finisher! I'm deeply honored to raise funds to support people affected by autism in living life to the fullest. Every step I take is dedicated to Eric, Gregory, Ethan and all my son's high school ASD students, who inspire me everyday. Together we can make a real difference. The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism was founded in 1998 by former NFL and Boston College Quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie. After their son Doug, Jr. was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, they wanted to ensure that other families affected by autism had opportunities for support and access to services. Now in its 25th year, the Flutie Foundation offers several programs to help individuals and families of all ages affected by autism live each day to the fullest by alleviating the financial distress caused by an autism diagnosis and making sure services are available to all people with autism regardless of their ability to pay. Although people with autism continue to see amazing progress from innovations in autism treatment, these interventions are expensive.  The Flutie Foundation supports individuals and autism organizations throughout the country to connect with and access programs they need to prosper and grow.
