2024 Boston Marathon Recap

A Blessing in my Life

This April, I am once again returning to take on the 2025 Boston Marathon for the Doug Flutie Foundation for Autism.

I’ll be honest: I don’t particularly enjoy running. But I’ve learned that putting myself through the pain and suffering of running 26.2 miles is one of the most impactful ways I can help make a difference for the autism community.

This year, my goal is bold: to raise $100,000 for families just like mine who depend on resources, support, and opportunities that the Flutie Foundation provides

For those who don’t know, I am running in honor of my younger brother Thomas. From the moment of his diagnosis just after his 2nd birthday, my family’s world shifted. At the time, even with the immense support system he had, it was extremely difficult to access the critical resources that are made available through the Flutie Foundation today. Our family had to advocate for those resources to ensure Thomas’ success. Through it all, Thomas has persevered with courage, kindness, and a heart fully of joy.

Thomas has taught me more than I could ever put into words: the value of unconditional love, the beauty of being present in the moment, and the importance of seeing into the soul of a person rather than what appears on the surface. He’s overcome so many challenges, and every step of his journey has continued to inspire me to do more. Thomas has been the ultimate blessing in my life.

Running this marathon is my way of giving back to a community that has given my family so much. The Doug Flutie Foundation has been a beacon for families like mine, providing resources, inclusion opportunities, and hope to those navigating autism.

This journey isn’t just for Thomas—it’s for every family affected by autism who needs support, understanding, and community. It is for all of those who stood by my family’s side in time of need without hesitation. And it is for all of you who have rallied behind my cause to raise money that has made an immense impact.

Let’s run this race together—for Thomas, for families navigating autism, and for a world that embraces inclusion and love.
