Hey, my name is Tom Carpenter. I’m so excited to get the chance to run in the 2025 Boston Marathon and it’s an honor and privilege to be running for the Doug Flutie Foundation for Autism. I myself grew up autistic. I was nonverbal and non expressive throughout my childhood and some into my young adulthood. Over the years I’ve overcome so many obstacles including being able to talk, express myself, social skills and so many things doctors feared I would not be able to do such as graduate school and more. One of my biggest goals to accomplish growing up was running the Boston Marathon. I always remember watching it on tv, thinking how amazing it would be to actually be there running it. Now my goal will come to life. I’m a big believer in not giving up. My entry into the 129th Boston Marathon with the Doug Flute Foundation for Autism is about showing others they can accomplish any obstacle that comes their way. No matter how difficult life gets, never give up and just keep going. I cannot wait to cross that finish line!
Please, support me and the efforts of the Doug Flutie for Autism.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! GOD Bless.
