BCU's work functions to make cycling safe and accessible for all. Their work directly contributes to preventing cycling accidents, reducing carbon emissions, and improving traffic in the Boston area. As an avid Camber-ville cyclist, BCU's work impacts me directly!
Why Bostreál?
I'm so excited to participate in this fundraiser for the Boston Cyclist Union! As a lifelong cyclist having experienced my fair share of bike accidents and near misses, I truly believe that biking infrasture saves lives, especially in urban settings. The BCU does really excellent work in Boston and beyond, advocating for safer and protected bicycle infrastructure, and that's why I've chosen to support them by biking almost 400 miles from Boston to Montreal! Talia and Lex after their very second triathalon!
Last summer, I had the opportunity to combine my love of cycling with my infatuation with open water swimming in my first ever solo olympic triathalon! The running almost killed me, but my dear friend Lex (also riding for BCU's Bostreal!) motivated me to the finish
Pictured here is Mr. Abba Shai Freund, seem with his usual snarling grimace. Abba is credited with teaching Rafi and I to ride out bikes on a grassy slope outside of a Carl's Jr., inventing the push-mushki, and always answering my desperate flat-tire calls, even when they are fake. What Mr. Freund lacks in personality he makes up for in style!
Dawwww, Mr. Zach. My boyfriend Zachary J. Boroda is a very good cycling buddy because he knows that no good ride is complete without a sweet treat. Preferred options are Diane's Water Ice, Momma's Maple Creamies, or blue pedialyte.
