The BCU does great work advocating for safer and protected bicycle infrastructure. Bostréal is their largest annual fundraiser. Your donation will directly support the work of the BCU which includes: 

• grassroots organizing for better bike infrastructure and safer streets
• advocacy for sustainable transportation and climate change mitigation policies
• free bike repair programs at farmers markets in low-income neighborhoods
• programming to celebrate and spread the joy of biking

Why I Bike

I love biking. It’s my favorite way to get around. Every time I hop on my bike, I get exercise, I see friends, and I connect with the natural world. I’m not beholden to train schedules or traffic delays. I’m not creating any pollution.  I’m a more involved citizen and a better community member because of my bike.

I want to make that option, and that joy, available to everyone. That's why I'm asking for your help: the work of the BCU makes it easier for anyone in the Boston region to hop onto a bike and run over to the market, or drop their kids off at school, or just get outdoors on a sunny afternoon.
