I am a first time Bos/Treal rider, and overall bike novice. My profile picture above is me with my first bike, at 21 years of age. I'm a late bloomer! I've got a lifetime of bike adventures to catch up on, starting with this 400 mile journey.

Since moving to the Boston area, I have gained more confidence in becoming a regular biker around town. When I ride my bike, I feel free and powerful. I feel myself grow every time I get from point A to B. I want everyone to feel this way, but currently, the lack of bike infrastructure in this city can get in the way. I ride with the Boston Cyclist Union because I believe in their mission and would like to see Boston become a friendlier place for all. 

Besides biking, I am an avid music appreciator! I currently entertain the Bostonian community as a college radio DJ for Boston University's WTBU. When I'm not biking or searching for the perfect tunes, I am working towards a Masters of Public Health with a focus on Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology.  This bike trip will occur a week after my graduation (it's practically my graduation gift to myself).
