Let's Get the Ball Rolling for Baltimore City Youth!

Bowl4Youth is about more than knocking down pins. It’s about raising funds to start a new reading and math tutoring program at Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle School where 82% of students are well below grade level.

We invite you to make a difference as a team captain or individual bowler. Being a captain involves recruiting 3 or 4 team members, committing as a team to raise a minimum of $200, and then coming together for a 2 1/2 hour bowling party on January 25th, 1:30 - 4 pm, at Parkville Lanes.

Create your team page or register as an individual on this site or contact Lesley Simmons, lsimmons@acts4youth.org, 443-240-7007 for assistance registering or for more information.

Details:

  • To help you fundraise, we’ll provide a toolkit with sample emails, social media graphics, stories, etc.
  • You do NOT need to be a bowler! There will be prizes for the most improved team, best team spirit, etc.
  • Every team will consist of 5 people:
    1. You can put together a team of 5
    2. You can put together a team of 4 and at the event an Acts4Youth middle school student will join your team as your 5th member.
    3. You can sign up as an individual, and we’ll add you to a team.
  • There is no cost to bowl, but we’re asking that each team raise a minimum of $200 with a goal of $1,000. If you’re bowling as an individual, we ask that you raise $50.
  • You’ll be able to fundraise from the time you register through January 24th.  Starting to fundraise in mid-November is ideal, because we’ll provide a series of social media templates for Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday after Black Friday that is nationally known as the day to give to others.
