Hello, thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Tina, and I will participate in the inaugural group bicycle ride: BP400 (Boston to Philadelphia 400 miles) over 5 days to fundraise for the Boston Cyclists Union (BCU). Your generous contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Boston Cyclists Union is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to improve bicycling for everyone in Boston. I believe in its mission, vision, and values, including people power, dignifying each person, mobility justice, joy and freedom, and sustainability. They work tirelessly to advocate for safe street infrastructure. BCU is a fantastic organization, and I encourage you to read more about their work on the website linked above.
Most recently I have a heavy heart after a driver hit and killed someone I knew while riding a bicycle. Louisa Gag was a bike share and active transportation planner at the City of Boston. On July 9, 2026, Louisa was riding her bicycle near Roxbury Crossing when a driver hit and killed her. Louisa dedicated her career to having Boston's streets safer for everyone. I and many others who travel around Boston benefitted from her work.* Louisa spent many years shaping Boston to be a city where more people could move safely and with dignity and joy regardless of how they choose to travel. Louisa’s death was preventable. So much more work needs to be done to continue Louisa’s safe streets advocacy work. I am carrying her work forward and honoring her legacy to have Boston be safer for everyone regardless of how they choose to travel. I ask you to join me in rising to meet the challenge by supporting the BCU’s work.
