ok hi. i'm running 26.2 miles through NYC and i need your help.

this november, i'm lacing up with the Bronx Burners Run Club for the 2026 NYC Marathon. if you know me, you know this isn't my first rodeo. and if you love me, you've probably already donated to one of my marathon funds before. (thank you. i see you. i owe you a drink and a smooch.)

this year feels a little different. this year i really wanted to run for something beyond myself.

enter: the Bronx Burners. they're a South Bronx-based nonprofit built on the idea that running can be a vehicle for opportunity - for youth, for families, for the whole community. they run free weekly community runs, offer year-round youth programs, mentorship, college counseling, SAT prep, and most importantly: scholarships. in 2025 alone they awarded nearly $100K in youth scholarships. they are the real deal.

and here's the part that got me: every single dollar i raise goes directly to a scholarship for a Bronx high school student. one dollar in, one dollar out. we are literally handing a check to a kid at the finish line of all this. no overhead math required.

i feel so lucky to live in this city. NYC has completely changed who i am, and there is nothing that makes me more hopeful than young people and what they're going to do with the world. if i can run 26.2 miles and help one student get closer to their future? 2fer! double whammy! that's the whole point.
