Otterly LOVE the Roundhouse Aquarium!
It's been a whale of a year, full of transitions and changes. I'm proud of our accomplishments at the Roundhouse Aquarium. We extended our reach and shifted to new virtual programs and technology. Now, we're finally able to start bringing students to the beach again. I can't express how moving it is to watch their eyes light up after seeing sea animals up close or stepping their toes in the sand for the first time. With your support, we can bring even more students to the Roundhouse Aquarium and make even the smallest difference in their lives! Thank you for your support. YOU are all my ocean hero!
About the Roundhouse Aquarium
The Roundhouse Aquarium Teaching Center (operated by Oceanographic Teaching Stations), located at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier has been serving the community for over 40 years. Our mission is to connect visitors and students to the oceans, provide hands-on and interactive experiences with marine life and habitats of Southern California, and inspire people to have positive impacts on the environment.
Each year, thousands of students from across the Los Angeles area are brought to the Roundhouse and beach for hands-on STEM field trips. Most of these students are from low-income schools, and 25% of them have never been to the beach before this field trip. Join us by donating to provide buses to allow more of these students to experience the wonder of the ocean, learn about the environment, and experience science in a hands-on environment.
