Cancer has taken many of my nearest and dearest loved ones away from me, I have struggled with the impact it has had on my family and myself. The feeling of complete helplessness, watching them each fight a courageous and extremely hard battle. Seeing, each of them, lose that beautiful spark in their eyes... I know, first hand, the total toll, this disease takes on the victim and their loved ones. My friend and co-worker Jen Roberts, introduced me to this cause and after talking it over with my family, I am ready to take all that overwhelming helplessness I have felt and turn it into an impowering fight to raise money for these families, who have to fight this, horrible battle, for their lives. Also, to honor my loved ones, who I love and miss, so very much.
