Sammy is a Terrier Mix that I adopted from BVSPCA a year ago. He was one of the dogs that the rescue brought from Houston before Hurricane Harvey. I got him as a companion for graduate school and over the past year he has become my best friend. He is the sweetest dog and loves squeaky balls and car rides from Bloomsburg to my parents house in Coatesville, where he plays with his doggie friends Utley and Dexter. In the one year since I met Sammy he has gained 1/3 of his body weight and his hair has grown back in. When he first left the shelter he was very skittish and would growl and nip if you tried to take his toy, or his blanket, or a sock, or literally anything he claimed as his. He would hide when company came over and slept in his bed on the floor. Now Sammy is glued to my lap and loves belly rubs and greets people at the door. His transformation has really been outstanding and I couldn't thank the BVSPCA more for introducing me to Sammy. Thank you so much for coming to my page and donating! It means so much to me and animals like Sammy who deserve a second chance!
