We found Copper at a rescue in Alabama and just new we had to have him. He was the last of his liter of 9 to be adopted. His mommy had been given up when her owner found out she was pregnant. Copper traveled from Alabama to Pennsylvania to be with us and we love him! it has been a bumpy road since we welcomed Copper. Only a few days after we picked up Copper he was attacked by a dog in our neighborhood. He was not hurt but this caused Copper to have dog fear aggression. We worked with a behaviorists for a few months and he is no longer afraid of other dogs. He now loves everyone, but we also learned Copper had a number of health problems. We worked with his vet and an internal medicine specialist and about a year after getting Copper we found out he has IBD, which is unusual in young dogs, he is only one and a half. Copper finally seems to be doing better but he will need medication and special food for the rest of his life. He is not perfect but we love him!
