Hello friends!! 

Over the years God has increasingly put the call to minister to the suffering on my heart, and I have been on a journey of trying to discover where He is calling me to be. A very prevelent and huge problem that He has kept on bringing me back to, is sex trafficking. It hurts me so much to know that this kind of slave trade is still so widespread in the world, and the way that it is taking advantage of the young and vulnerable is sickening. However, I never really knew what to do about this problem-- it's so big and seems impossible! When I found out about Joy International's mission trips to Cambodia, that is specifically combating human traffiking, I knew I needed to come and see how they love, serve and encourage the suffering. The trip will last for two weeks (July 7th-22nd), and my team will be partnering with other organizations trying to alleviate this problem in Cambodia. We'll be holding VBS for children, distributing food and necessities to impoverished families, ministering to rescued women and children, etc. Though it is only for a short time that we will have the opportunity to serve, learn, and be alongside the people in Cambodia, I know God will use this for His glory and purposes. I am so excited to be a part of the Lord's will for this trip/team! The trip costs 3,000 dollars, which includes airfare, food, housing, etc. All donations are tax-deductible. If you feel led to donate money, I would be so incredibly grateful! If that is not something you are feeling guided to do, that is totally okay. Even more important to me, would be your prayers as I prepare for, and serve on, this trip. There are so many unknowns for something like this, and prayer is one of the most powerful weapons-- especially the prayers of many!
