Help me send a Camper to Camp!

Every year since 1988 Children's Cancer Connection has been dedicated to providing week long residential camp for children diagnosed with cancer living or treated in the state of Iowa. We also provide an identical week of camp for siblings of children diagnosed. At Children's Cancer Connection we believe in serving the entire family, for the entire journey!

I have been able to attend Camp Heart Connection every summer since 2009, holding a number of different roles from kitchen crew to a counselor for many age groups. Camp is one of my favorite places in the world, and I am so lucky to get to be a part of it! Campers have opportunities to try so many new things while at camp, and more than that- they've got a cabin full of pals cheering them on the entire time. It's amazing to see how naturally the returning campers encourage and welcome the new campers. Camp very quickly becomes a second family to the campers and staff. Campers gain independence and confidence throughout the week, they leave camp with best friends & a tie-dyed bag full of memories.

Camp is completely free for all of our campers. We understand that cancer and all that comes with it can be quite a financial burden for families, and camp should not add to that. That being said- it costs approximately $400 to send one camper to camp. Last summer camp had about 190 Oncology Campers and 255 Sibling Campers- do that math quick and boom it adds up to a pretty large number. This year, I would like to try to send at least ONE camper to camp, and I need your help! Donate today to help me reach my goal and get one kid to camp to see this magical place we all love so much.
