We are truly honored to serve as Champions of Hope this year for The Cancer Foundation. As a Physician Assistant in primary care, I has seen firsthand how a cancer diagnosis instantly upends a patient's world—not just physically and emotionally, but through the overwhelming, unplanned financial strain and loss of income.

Whit has also witnessed this struggle on a deeply personal level when we he lost his dear friend, Christian St. Holmes, at just 35 years old to a rare bone cancer. Watching someone you love fight for their life while navigating the crushing burden of everyday expenses really highlights how vital direct financial relief truly is.

That is why we are so passionate about advocating for The Cancer Foundation, a unique organization that actively steps in to lift those financial barriers for local families during active treatment. We want to ensure that no one in our community has to face the weight of a diagnosis alone or compromise their basic living needs while fighting for their health.
