Last year, I attended Sip 'N Shuck and discovered something I never expected. Like many people, I assumed The Cancer Foundation focused primarily on cancer research. As I listened to the story of a local cancer patient whose life had been changed by The Cancer Foundation, and learned about the hundreds of patients they serve each year and the hundreds of thousands of dollars they provide in direct financial assistance, I was truly amazed. I realized this organization is doing something incredibly special—helping local families with everyday essentials like housing, utilities, transportation, and nutrition so they can focus on what matters most: their treatment. That evening completely changed my perspective. Today, I'm proud to be a Champion of Hope because I want more people to discover this incredible organization and help ensure that local cancer patients continue to receive the support they need when they need it most.
