As you know, I am now three years "cancer free" after undergoing a lumpectomy and radiation during the summer of 2016. I am so thankful to have found this tumor early due to an annual mammogram. The plot thickened in December of 2016 when my MOM was also diagnosed with the same breast cancer and underwent the same treatment. Her tumor was also discovered during her annual mammogram.
This fundraising is not for cancer research. It is to support the Family Health Partnership Clinic, who provides preventative care and mammograms to the uninsured or those otherwise unable to receive these services.
