What a year it has been! We have seen more clients than ever before with Texas being a
state where abortion is illegal. Many girls come to us first to verify their pregnancy and see
how far along they are. The good news is we continue to have the opportunity to sit knee to
knee and engage in real heart to heart conversations. We offer them life affirming
advice—most importantly, facts related to the baby growing inside of them. We always
emphasize that their babies heartbeat began at around twenty-three days. We constantly
and lovingly share the Gospel with them, and many accept Jesus. Finally, we offer a free
ultrasound. Our nurses serve as another touch of Christ's love on these women as the
clients see their babies heartbeat and the early beginnings of life. I have the privilege of
being in the ultrasound room during these appointments, where, on most days, there is
pure joy.
Some appointments are very hard. We live in a country where, in many states, abortion is
legal and where over 50 companies will pay for abortions, airfare, and hotels. Sadly, they
call this health care—but not so much for the little baby that has lost his or her life. We all
use these companies every day, to name a few: Amazon, Bank of America, Chobani, CVS,
Starbucks, Target, Walgreens, and, ironically, Johnson & Johnson and Procter and Gamble, makers of baby products and diapers!!!
Abortion pills are becoming the easiest way to have a DIY abortion in the “comfort of your
own home.” The details and the dangers are real, and it is happening every day. Just
recently, it was released that 63% are using this method, not including mail order abortion
pills, so realistically it could be over 80%. The pills are available through the mail from
other states in the U.S. or Mexico. They are easily purchased, and, I believe, soon to be
available at our friendly CVS or Walgreens. All this to say, our centers are very much
needed and provide a wonderful opportunity to change girls’ minds to choose life.
A GOOD news story is the acquisition of a third center in the Humble/Kingwood area. It
serves over a million people who otherwise would have to drive a distance to go to a
pregnancy center. It is a beautiful building, and they have seen over 100 clients in only 7
weeks. Seventy-four per cent of the women were either Abortion-Minded or Abortion-
Vulnerable. That is why we exist: these babies’ lives are hanging in the balance!
As you can see, I have a team this year, and the ladies are all on my Thursday shift with a
few staff mixed in. These women make my Thursdays a true JOY as we serve together. We
pray, give advice for tough situations, and encourage each other. Some are called to
volunteer in person, and some are called to support. We are all so very thankful for your
consideration of a donation. We hope and pray that, together, we are Saving Lives Today
and for Eternity.
