By bidding in Vincentian Charitable Foundation’s auction, each bidder agrees to these auction rules:

1. Guests have the option to begin bidding at the preset amount and raise bids in preset increments or choose the “buy it now” option and purchase the item outright.
2. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted. All items are “as is.” Vincentian Charitable Foundation has attempted to describe and catalog items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in this catalog, or made orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.
3. The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify amount of deduction.
4. Only persons over the age of 21 years of age are permitted to bid and win items that include alcoholic beverages. When these prizes are picked up, photo ID will be required.
5. Items that require pick-up must be claimed by August 31, 2020. It is the responsibility for the winning bidder to contact jhayden@vcs.org to claim these items at VCS offices: 8250 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237 during regular business hours (M-F 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
6. Vincentian Charitable Foundation reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction.
7. All auction gift certificates (golf, spa, etc.) have expiration dates. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to review and these certificates before expiration occurs.
8. Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from Vincentian Charitable Foundation, their elected and appointed officials, members and employees, the auctioneer(s), the auction company and its agents and employees, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.
