Jonathan has been riding at Carousel Ranch for 13 years now and it is something he looks forward to every week! We usually only miss when the ranch has to cancel; that is how much he loves riding his horse. Right now he is riding on BB ~ Big Bertha! He has been working on how to use the reins to direct his horse as well as standing in his stir-ups for 10 seconds. That is very difficult for him due to his low muscle tone and weak core strength. It take lots out of him to do that multiple times for a long 10 seconds. His therapist is Stefanie; we both love and adore her. She is firm and loving with Jonathan and is always up for giving him that little extra nudge to push past the challenging task he is asked to do in order to overcome & succeed. We are so blessed to have her in our lives! Everyone at Carousel Ranch is dedicated to loving our kids and helping them build confidence and strength. They know how to lovingly push them to try a little harder and are filled with as much pride and joy when the child accomplishes the challenge!
