The Heart Behind CRC's August Ask
At CRC, we have the privilege to join people’s stories for a brief moment, so they can step into their next chapter from a place of strength.
Our community is faced with challenging stories around nonprofit funding cuts, increased food insecurity, and supports for our aging neighbors over the next several years.
That's why our goal is to raise $75,000 to support the longevity of CRC's programs and services.
From January through June 2026, CRC has provided over 404,000 meals to individuals and families and 4,880 senior supportive hours to our older adult clients.
Today, your donation writes a better story for our community. A story that despite challenges ahead, offers a path of hope and kindness towards one another.
Together, we decide how our story unfolds
“Leigh” was referred to CRC’s Crisis Desk for housing support. They connected with a Family Services staff, Brian, who learned that Leigh had lost employment earlier in the year due to factors outside of their control. Leigh was actively seeking employment but was facing eviction due to nonpayment of rent.
Brian informed Leigh of a program that could help once employment was found. Leigh continued to search for employment, and kept working with CRC to receive support.
After a couple more weeks, Leigh was offered a position! Leigh and Brian submitted the application to help secure the past due rent and it was quickly approved and paid.
Leigh continued to utilize the pantry for food assistance, alleviating financial stress until receiving the first paycheck. CRC is thankful to aide Leigh with assistance during a temporary crisis.
