My Fundraising Page for CHC
Hi, I’m Marley kramer a current camper at Camp Heart Connection. I’ve been going to camp since i was 6 years old and now I’m 15 still enjoying it the same way I did when I was little. When I was 3 my twin brother Wade was diagnosed with leukemia. Growing up Children’s Cancer Connection affected my family in so many positive ways but specifically Camp Heart Connection. Going to camp has always been one of the things I look forward to most during the year. The day I leave camp is the day I start looking forward to the next time I’m with these people again. Camp is nothing short of amazing and makes not only me but everyone I know there feel like there isn’t anything to worry about and we can be kids again. Summer camp with CCC is hosted twice during the summer, one week for oncology kids and one for siblings. With treatments being so expensive Children’s Cancer Connection offers all programs for kids free of charge to help families out. All staff are volunteers and this is why we need your help to send a cabin of campers to camp this summer! All donations would go to covering the expenses for camp and letting a kid create lifelong memories and friendships that will change their lives. Anything is much appreciated and would help change and brighten a kids summer! Thank you!
Help me support Camp Heart Connection!
Camp Heart Connection is one of Children's Cancer Connection's largest programs. CCC has been dedicated to providing camps for Iowa children affected by childhood cancer and their families for over 35 years. At Children's Cancer Connection they believe in serving the entire family through the entire journey, which makes their camp programming unique and unforgettable. CCC offers six different camp programs throughout the year including one weeklong Oncology Camp, one weeklong Sibling Camp, two weeklong Day Camps, a weekend Spring Family Camp, a weekend Fall Family Camp, and a weekend Teen Camp.
Last year, Camp Heart Connection returned to full pre-pandemic formatting and hundreds of campers and their families had a blast. Camp programs offer families time to connect with others who truly understand what they're going through and create lifelong memories. They don't have to worry about the cost because all CHC Camps are offered to families at no cost. At CCC, they are dedicated to making sure everyone can experience camp. No one is ever charged any amount to come to camp and they work year round to make sure every camper can have a magical experience!
As the cost of everything is rising, fundraisers like this are more important than event. When you donate through my Campership Challenge page, you are helping ensure every camper can experience the magic of camp!
