About Me
Hey, I'm Lisa!
I am the literal definition of an enneagram 8 wing 9 and unable to hide it. I'm passionate about pretty much everything I do in life but I'm especially passionate about helping victims of human trafficking overcome their past through relational healing.
I'm a social worker through and through. This means, that if we have dinner together I am probably going to attempt to convince you to try therapy. I'll also shower you with realism and positivity at the same time. "Is this even possible?" You may ask. My answer is HECK YES! Truly, anything is possible if you tell me that I can't do it.
In my personal time, I like to run with my hero, Shantel; share memes with my bestie, Mary Beth; and annoy my husband, Mason with the lastest social justice movement we need to engage in. I love to invest in future generations through my church by volunteering with the middle school ministry.
Lastly, I'm a Hamil-fan for life. Send me Hamilton memes and we will be good friends for life.

I stride because I want to give a voice to those who are otherwise without a voice. I have personally seen the extreme marginalition of the individuals I work with and I cannot stand silently to the side and allow that to happen.
To me, education and awareness are HUGE. If our community doesn't know what trafficking looks like then we will never truly understand the magnitude that it affects our friends, family, and neighbors.
I'm specifically passionate about helping others understand how trauma affects our children and teens. I work with youth who are often looked down on and told that they are "bad kids" or told to "straighten up". I feel it is time for the adults in our communities to stand up and be a part of the solution not the problem.
My small soapbox is this: if you see a kid who is "acting out" please don't look at them as a problem. Look at that child or youth with potential. Then take that loving, passionate heart of yours and invest in that youth. Help that youth get plugged into services, organizations, and people who have good intentions, to set that youth on the path of healing.
Believe it or not, you do have the ability to change a persons life just by showing a little bit of empathy.
