#GivingTuesday is Tuesday, December 1, 2015!

I am supporting the Council's Early Opportunity Fund on Giving Tuesday because I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to receive a quality early childhood education. And as a result they will enter the public education system at par with their cohort. Study after study has demonstrated that as a result the arc of their life will be dramatically improved and that they, their families and our community will benefit far in excess of the costs of providing this opportunity.

This #GivingTuesday, Make a Donation That Will Last a Lifetime

Quality early childhood care and education, from birth to age five, makes a difference that lasts a lifetime. Interactions at this phase stimulate brain growth, and research proves this is the best chance to set the stage for success later in life. Kids who get this quality early care benefit from lifelong better physical and emotional health, are less likely to engage in risky or dangerous behavior, and are more likely to graduate high school, be successful in college and the workforce, and contribute to our community in positive ways as an adult.

I want to help make sure that every child in Westchester has the best start and the opportunity to succeed - no matter the circumstances of their birth. That’s where the Council's Early Opportunity Fund comes in – raising money for scholarships for families who otherwise could not afford quality early care.

The goal this year is to raise $10,000 on Giving Tuesday – December 1st, 2015 – to support our scholarship fund.  If you can help us accomplish this, we will have done something amazing together:  changed the lives of 5  Westchester children and their families… forever. The Council has many testimonials from scholarship recipients who tell us – sometimes through tears – about the relief they feel being able to go to work without worry, knowing their child is safe, loved and learning. I want to help give this gift to more families!

Any amount you can give is appreciated – and the Child Care Council’s Board of Directors will make it go even further by matching your contribution.

Please consider a donation, and help us reach more people by sharing this page and our message.

Thank you!
