River Day
I am fundraising for pets!
Why this is important to me
When I was 4 years old I watched a show called Dr. Oakley; she is a vet that works in the Yukon Territory. Ever since then I have wanted to be a vet just like her to help all animals have a good life. I have always been attached to animals. We make each other feel happy. Pets cannot speak for themselves so I help speak for them and you should too. I have raised hundreds of dollars over the years for this humane society and will keep doing what I can to help them.

About the Organization
The Champaign County Humane Society is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping companion animals healthy, housed, and looking for homes. Our shelter has been open to the Champaign County community since 1954, and we've helped thousands and thousands of animals find their forever home. Last year alone, over 1,700 pets found families through CCHS, thanks to donors like you.
As an independent nonprofit, our shelter, adoptions, and education programs rely on the generosity of this community, and the passion of supporters who fundraise on our behalf. We do not receive funding from local government entities, and we are not a branch of any national animal welfare nonprofits.
