I also find it difficult for a child to invest in something without a goal. With the unlimited potential every person has in life, finding the right path and setting the foundations of success early is becoming more and more important.

With schooling early on, my luck and direction from trusted people involved in my life help with the constant growth and achievement throughout high school. Once a goal was defined, I found myself in a decent position to reach and succeed.

Unfortunately, not all children have this level of luck, influential role models, or goals to know how to structure their education and extracurricular activities. JA provides a way to introduce these young students to the options they have that focus their studies to produces great outcomes.

Signing up for heavy math and physics courses, helping to develop a robot competition at our school with other driven students, and saving to go to college through work all happened my senior year and before I knew engineering was a calling. Had I been introduced to engineering just one year earlier those courses, teams, and jobs would have had a purpose making me even more passionate about them and willing to put in additional work. I also would have signed up for FREE courses at the local university, toured college campuses, and signed up for directed scholarships. That would be just one year difference of knowing where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do!

These young students need to know their objectives, passions, and paths to direct their lives to start off with the best of "luck" and find the right mentors. They will be able to achieve much more with an end goal in mind. I want to be a part of that development and help them set and achieve those goals!
