Help me and my karate school reach our fundraising goal for 2019! All of the funds raised go towards funding violence prevention outreach in our community, as well as scholarships. That way, anyone can train regardless of their ability to pay. Sun Dragon thanks you, and so do I!
I started at Sun Dragon in August, and I'm excited to be able to be a part of Kickathon! This school really fits with me because Sun Dragon Martial Arts and Self Defense is a nonprofit karate and self defense school with a focus on social justice, personal empowerment and peacemaking.
People of all ages, sizes, and genders train here. Sun Dragon puts on LGBTQIA self defense classes, self defense for women and teen girls, Back to School Safety classes, and Violence Prevention for Young Men - just to name some of them.
This wide range of services makes a significant difference when helping the people of Austin. Each student finds our school for a variety of different reasons, but we all train together to better ourselves and to give back to our community.
