2026 CFS Family Slipper Walk - O'ahu

Ala Moana Center
Saturday, December 5, 2026
8 - 10am

Child & Family Service (CFS) is a “Hawai‘i-born,” community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening Hawai‘i’s families through an array of statewide programs that welcome all individuals and families at various stages of life across the islands. Since 1899, CFS has been helping families address some of life’s most serious situations including poverty, abuse, and neglect.

CFS is hosting its first Family Slipper Walk on O‘ahu at Ala Moana Center on Saturday, December 5, 2026 to raise awareness and funds to support its mission of strengthening Hawaiʻi families. This event will be the organization’s first community driven “friend-raiser” and fundraiser that helps shine the light on the work CFS has been doing for more than 127 years right here in the islands.

Net proceeds from the CFS Family Slipper Walk will benefit CFS’s mission to strengthen individuals and families across the State of Hawai‘i.

Why Slippers?

In Hawai‘i, slippers are for the everyday. They pile up at the door and tell all who enter, who’s home! For many, slippers at the door bring joy and excitement about who’s in the home. Bring your family and take a step to support those who are taking their next step to become a healthier, happier family.

What to expect

The CFS Family Slipper Walk on O'ahu will be a 1.5 mile walking course through Ala Moana Center. Participants will start at Center Stage, follow the route on Mall Level 2 and 3, and finish back at Center Stage.

Assumption of Risk

Participation in this walk involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, uneven surfaces, traffic, heat-related illness, and weather.  By participating, you acknowledge these risks, confirm you are physically able to take part, and agree that participation is voluntary.  Please consult a doctor before participating if you have any health concerns.

Participation Requirements for Minors

The parent or legal guardian and all minors in their group must check in together at the start of the event. By accompanying one or more minors, the parent or legal guardian accepts full responsibility for their supervision and safety for the duration of the event.
