2022-2023 Campership Challenge

Hello, My name is Lydia!

I was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2011, a type of blood cancer and underwent hard and painful chemo, blood draws, lumbar punctures, steroids, and more. Ever since the start of my journey, Childrens Cancer Connection has been there for me. The first time I ever went to camp was in 2012, when I went to family camp. We met other families also on a childhood cancer journey and got to have loads of fun. Family camp gave us an opportunity to spend time as a family and create lasting memories. We got to do crafts, ride horses, do archery and had a great time. We went to family camp many times after that. I have also been to teen camp, which was awesome. I got to meet and make freinds with so many kids who knew what it was like to be affcted by cancer.

This year is going to be my first year of Onclogy Camp! Camp has always felt like a second home for me. It was a place where I never felt werid or alone beacasue of cancer, and I have made so many freindships that will last a lifetime. This summer I am going to be 10 years cancer free! Because of this I want to raise $10,000 for Camp Heart Connction. Please consider donating to help ensure that camp stays free for kids like me!
