Mission
The mission of FUBU in the community is to free underprivileged youth from the oppression of poverty, racism, and discrimination stifling their talents by promoting and supporting entrepreneurial efforts celebrating the arts, culture, science, and community development. By staying committed to the advancement of young enterprise, we are able to inspire future generations to explore excellence and success as humanitarians, innovators, and activists.
Overview
FUBU officially established its commitment to the community in 1999 with the founders of "For Us By Us", Daymond John, Carl Brown, Keith Perrin, and J. Alexander Martin coordinating specific efforts annually to provide resources around the country to underserved communities. Decades later, FUBU still supports various ongoing community initiatives nationally that help small business grow and succeed, provide educational grants to young people overcoming impoverished life challenges, and create mentorship programs for entrepreneurs as they develop viable business plans and strong leadership skills to pursue their dreams and build their communities.
Carl Brown and Team FUBU are committed to supporting new business development grants, leadership and life skills mentoring programs, and educational scholarships to motivate young people who have the desire, determination, and dedication to excel in the 21st century, academically and professionally.
