When our son Liam was diagnosed in utero with severe heart defects in the spring of 2010, our lives changed forever.  We wanted to find an outlet and a community going through something similar, so we signed up for the Children's HeartBeat 5000 walk.  We walked with family and friends, not knowing what our future would hold for Baby Burns.

After Liam died, we decided to make the HeartBeat 5000 walk an annual event to honor and remember our sweet baby.  After Gloria died in 2015, our team name changed to For Love of Liam & Gloria and the HeartBeat 5000 walk became even more special to our family.  Each year, our team grew and the support was incredible.  

In 2018, Children's canceled the HeartBeat 5000 walk.  That event had become our moment to honor our babies, so we were sad to see it end.  We knew we wanted to have something to share with family and friends, so we decided to move forward with our own walk. 

We are in our eighth year of our For Love of Liam & Gloria walk.  It's smaller and more personal, just the way we like it!  We are so grateful for our friends and family that show up year after year to support us.  It's hard to believe we've been walking together for 15 years now and it still means so much to our family to have you there with us.
