My name is Genevieve, and I am a 12 year cancer survivor. Camp Heart Connection is a place where all my friends and I who have gone through similar experiences can spend time together. My friends at this camp know what it is like to go through cancer. They don’t just feel bad because they can relate. Children’s Cancer Connection has so many amazing programs for the whole family. My sister goes to sibling camp and talks with other kids her age that are feeling similar emotions. One thing that amazes me is that children who are going through cancer and their families can have these experiences for no cost. Which brings me to why I fundraise. Children’s Cancer Connection has done so much for me. I want other kids to have the same experiences, and I want to give back to Children’s Cancer Connection. Please help me to reach their goal so they can continue to offer camp at no cost to families who have suffered cancer.
