In Honor of Pam Cooper
Please support for research for this rare Prion disease CJD
My sister Pam was a vibrant and intelligent woman who was taken from us way to soon (6 months from diagnosis) by this very rare Prion disease known as CJD (see website). She was a sister, mother, grandmother and dear friend to so many. CJD is an extremely fast moving disease process that takes its victims usually within months. Pam fought valiantly and was as strong as she could be and even participated in a Prion disease research study. She said it was very important to her to provide researchers with whatever she could to help them learn how to more quickly diagnose and treat this deadly disease.
Many of you, like Pam and her family, have probably never heard of CJD. Part of the goal besides raising money for research is to spread awareness. Pam spent her life compiling research as a geneoligist and historian for so many people as well as her community. As important as it was to be part of the research study, the disease kept her from continuing.
On behalf of Pam's family and in her honor, we kindly ask if you can please consider donating whatever amount you can to help researchers continue in their quest so we don't have to lose another person like Pam.
Additionally, I will be hiking Mt. Bierdstadt (Colorado Fourteener) in honor of Pam as she visited here many times and loved these mountains.

We need more awareness to get the pharmaceutical companies in the game to do further clinical trials to hopefully eradicate this disease someday. Any amount helps. July 2024 $500.00
