Our beloved father and husband, Dook Kuil, was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need. A man of endless generosity, tireless dedication, and a heart full of kindness, he touched countless lives through his hard work and compassion.

In October 2024, our world was turned upside down when we received the devastating news that Dook had been diagnosed with Jakob-Creutzfeldt disease – a rare and aggressive prion disease. Just weeks later, on January 1st, 2025, after a short but incredibly difficult battle, we had to say our final goodbye.

Dook believed deeply in the importance of supporting good causes. In his spirit, and to honor his legacy, we are starting this fundraiser to help end prion diseases once and for all. The funds will go toward vital research, with the hope that one day a cure or treatment can be found – so that no other family has to endure what we have.

This is more than just a fundraiser. It is a tribute to Dook’s life, his kindness, and his unwavering belief in helping others. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to making a difference in his name.
