Mira’s Mission — Congenital Heart Walk

Meet Mira — a little girl with one of the strongest hearts we know.

Mira was born with a congenital heart defect, and her journey has been anything but easy. At just 4 years old, she has already endured multiple open-heart surgeries, countless procedures, hospital stays, and more challenges than any child should ever have to face.

This year, Mira underwent her Fontan surgery, hoping it would be the next big step toward giving her the healthiest future possible. Instead, her journey became even more complicated.

Weeks after the initial surgery without the progress everyone had hoped for, Mira needed yet another heart surgery. Following that surgery, her mom noticed that something wasn’t right. Imaging revealed that Mira had suffered multiple debilitating strokes.

Through it all, Mira continues to fight.

She has shown a strength, resilience, and courage that is impossible to put into words. Her family has spent countless days and nights by her side, advocating for her and celebrating every small step forward.

We are walking for Mira. We are walking for every child born with a congenital heart defect. And we are walking to raise awareness and support research that can give children like Mira better outcomes and brighter futures.

Mira is now home after 105 days in the hospital trying to relearn how to walk, talk and just be a 4 year old little girl. It's hard but she does it anyway!

This years walk is more important and special than ever! Please come support M and the Angelo's by showing her the village that surrounds them and is there walking with them every step of the way.
