WHAT DOES MOBILITLY MEAN TO YOU?

My ability to move is something that I can be grateful for every single day. I am so very privileged to be able to move around the way that I do, and I feel so lucky and so thankful for the opportunity to express myself through sport. I love the challenge of pushing myself to my limits. I love bonding with other people over the shared experience of mobility. I love being amazed at how the human body works and all the incredible things it can do.

Movement gives me freedom: mental, physical, and spiritual. I only discovered trail running this year, and I can say that even after 32 years of life I've never experienced a flow-state quite like it. Using my mobility in the outdoors is how I feel most connected to this planet and all the life on it. It's where I can find peace and joy in one place. Without movement, I feel like an observer. With movement, I can engage. I transform into an active participant in the world around me. It feels deeply connected to how I show up for my life.

Mobility, for me, is my chance to heal, to reflect, to express myself, to recover, to practice care, to amaze, to challenge, to share, and to practice gratitude.

CLIMBING FOR ROMP

Climbing for ROMP is a metaphor for the mountains we all face. I'm proud to join the 10th annual Climbing for ROMP campaign and tackle my 'mountain' to help amputees get high-quality prosthetic care so they can take their first steps.
