Even before becoming a certified Mental Health First Aider, I have always believed in supporting mental health and doings things that improve mental health. Studies prove that time in nature help improve mental health and heart rate, which is why I try to get outside and walk amongst nature and talk that time for self-care. I hope to use this event as a good reminder to take some time each day, get outside in nature, focus on mindfulness, and walk at least 5,000 steps a day.
