Our 18 month old daughter was recently diagnosed with an ultra rare condition called Collagen 6 Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (CMD). This condition is progressive, leaving us with the expectation that Grace will slowly lose strength and mobility beginning in adolescence.

Grace is an extremely happy, wildly intelligent and curious toddler. She is still making progress towards those gross motor milestones. She smiles and laughs through countless hours of physical and occupational therapy. She loves to swim, horseback ride and has a new found love for slides. Her positive energy and sense of humor are far beyond her age. We become more proud with every challenge she overcomes. She’s a little warrior with the fiercest heart we’ve ever known. 

We’re raising funds to support Cure CMD, a leading organization driving research, awareness, and hope for families like ours. Every donation, big or small, directly impacts this important cause. Cure CMD is a U.S. registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that focuses solely on CMD and our donations will be allocated towards her subtype-specific research, treatments, and support.

We have sat in a room with other parents holding onto every word of hope from the top researchers in the world. The passion and drive to progress research for Col6 CMD is there.  Every dollar raised brings us closer to treatment that could change lives.
